Welcome to Kuna Electrics. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you use our website, request a quote, book our services, or engage us for electrical work.
By using our website or engaging Kuna Electrics for electrical services in Geelong and surrounding areas, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Kuna Electrics provides electrical services for homes, businesses, rental properties, property managers, builders, and other customers across Geelong and surrounding areas.
The work we provide may include electrical repairs, installations, lighting, switchboards, powerpoints, smoke alarms, EV chargers, new builds, renovations, and other electrical services.
The exact work will depend on the services agreed with you.
We aim to provide clear pricing based on the information available when the quote is prepared.
A quote may be based on information you provide, plans, photos, or a site inspection.
If hidden issues, additional work, or changes to the agreed scope are identified, the final cost may change. We will discuss additional work and costs with you before proceeding where practical.
Bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed once an appointment has been scheduled.
You must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and the areas where work is required.
Please tell us about any known hazards, pets, access restrictions, building requirements, or other conditions that could affect the job.
For rental properties, the required approval from the owner, landlord, property manager, or other authorised person must be obtained before non-emergency work begins.
Electrical work can sometimes uncover problems that were not visible before the job started.
If additional work is needed, we will explain what has been found and discuss the available options with you.
Changes to the scope may also affect the price or completion time.
Payment terms will be shown on your quote, invoice, booking confirmation, or other agreement with Kuna Electrics.
You are responsible for paying the agreed amount within the stated payment period.
Where an account remains unpaid, we may delay further non-urgent work or services, subject to your rights under Australian law.
To help us complete your electrical work safely and efficiently, you agree to:
Where we supply electrical products or materials, we will select items suitable for the agreed work, subject to availability.
If you provide your own products or equipment, you are responsible for making sure they are suitable for the intended purpose.
We may decline to install a product that is unsafe, unsuitable, damaged, or not compatible with the electrical installation.
All electrical work will be completed by appropriately licensed electrical workers and in accordance with applicable Victorian electrical safety requirements.
Where required, a Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) will be issued for completed electrical installation work. Energy Safe Victoria requires COES for electrical installation work carried out in Victoria.
If we find unsafe wiring, equipment, or other electrical hazards, we may need to isolate the affected area or recommend additional work before the job can safely continue.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an appointment.
We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your booking, subject to availability.
Where a cancellation, missed appointment, or lack of access causes additional costs, those costs may apply where permitted and where they have been disclosed or agreed.
We aim to provide electrical work with proper care and skill and in line with applicable requirements.
Products supplied as part of our work may also be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot legally be excluded.
If you believe there is a problem with our workmanship or an installed product, please contact us so we can review it.
Electrical systems can contain faults, damaged components, outdated wiring, or other conditions that are not visible before work begins.
We are not responsible for problems that existed before our work or faults caused by unrelated external factors, except where the law requires otherwise.
If our work reveals a pre-existing issue, we will explain it and discuss the available options with you.
We aim to complete work within the agreed timeframe, but some delays may be outside our reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, material shortages, supplier delays, restricted access, hidden site conditions, power issues, other trades, emergencies, or customer-requested changes.
Where possible, we will keep you informed of any significant delay.
To the extent permitted by law, Kuna Electrics is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, pre-existing conditions, customer-supplied products, or work carried out by others.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantee, legal right, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
If you have a concern about our work, please contact Kuna Electrics first so we can review the issue and try to resolve it directly.
If the matter cannot be resolved, either party may use any dispute-resolution process or other rights available under Australian law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws that apply in Victoria, Australia.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, or legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page.
For work already covered by an agreed quote or written agreement, those specific terms will continue to apply unless otherwise agreed.
If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us.
